Roxy

Once dubbed as one of mellow submissive betas of her littermates- Roxy has blossomed into a happy and playful girl who is incredibly intelligent! The joy of her life revolves around playing with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes! Our girl can still be calm and gentle when needed or vivaciously  engaged to be the ultimate play partner! We love watching her imagination keep her brain entertained- flopsy legged and silly as ever flinging her toys in the air or clumsily pawing at them while laying outstretched on her back! Roxy is the ideal balance of being perfectly amused as the ‘audience’ of your life or diving in with a jolly zest when it’s time to participate! Roxy was surrendered back to Blue Diamond after being with her last family for several months due to her Bernese-like suspicion of strangers that is common with this breed. Because Roxy started out as an introverted beta in her original littermate lineup and then was not given proper socialization training with her last humans- she can suddenly act very shy and resistant to meeting new people.Currently Roxy is working on her socialization with our local puppy trainer Kimberly, who has successfully taken her to PetSmart, the dog park, and sat her in the laps of close friends who come over to love on her puppy trainees! She will need continued love and encouragement to overcome her social stressors- but Kimberly is 100% confident she will overcome with continued exposure and loving pack leadership to show her the way! Roxy is currently partially trained and absolutely hungry to learn more!

• She is about 90% potty trained.
• She is 100% crate trained.
• She does well in the leash maintaining a good pace at the side of her pack leader but could use work on listening to commands while on a walk
• Roxy does well in the car after she’s settled down enough to relax and enjoy the ride!
• fully vaccinated for a year including rabies!
• As stated above she will need more training to work on

• socialization with adults (pretty welcoming towards kids)
• sound desensitization
• commands
• Roxy comes with the option of keeping her in puppy bootcamp for an additional $2500 to work through the remainder of her training or will need her new forever family to invest time into this sweet girl’s life with the heart and intention of seeing her through this minor hurdle.
